3 Variables when making an exposure:

1.) Aperture - the opening that lets light in to make an exposure; different size openings called "f stops" effects the depth of field in the image

2.) Shutter Speed - the amount of time the shutter is open to make an exposure; usually determined by fraction of a second

3.) ISO - denotes is how sensitive the image sensor is to the amount of light present; the higher the number, the more sensitive it is
